As a stay-at-home mom of 3, my life is all about my kids. Making sure they’re fed, clean, and out of trouble keeps me busy 99.9% of the time (especially in SIP). After a particularly bad tantrum from my 3 year-old that left us BOTH crying, I decided I had to do something for ME and signed up for online qigong classes on a whim. I thought it would be a nice way to relax, even if only for an hour. After a few sessions, I realized it’s SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT! I feel calmer, more relaxed, and more myself. I travel almost every other week for work so traditional gym memberships just don’t work for me. I was looking for online classes that I could access on the go and found Dr. Ng. His online lessons are clear and easy to follow. He walks me through different exercises and explains what I should be focusing on. It’s been great for keeping my body moving wherever I go and has helped me manage my stress.
My doctor advised me to try Qigong or Taichi to improve my balance. I’m 82 and have taken a few hard falls in the past. My daughter found Dr. Ng and signed me up. So far, I really like it. Dr. Ng is great. He did a talk at my company and piqued my interest in TCM and taichi and qigong. Since his in-person classes have been discontinued due to COVID-19, I tried his virtual classes instead. I actually think that his virtual classes work much better for me. ABOUT DR. MIKE J. NG, DACM, M.S., CES
Your Virtual Online Tai Chi, Bagua, and Qigong Teacher
An authority on mindfulness, movement, breath work, and energy training, Mike J. Ng has dedicated his life to the study and practice of mind-body health and wellness.
Dr. Ng earned his clinical Doctor of Acupuncture degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and holds a Master of Science in Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM), having fulfilled over 3,000 hours of didactic and clinical hands-on training -- including but not limited to traditional and orthopedic acupuncture, mind-body movement, massage, manual therapy, and soft tissue mobilization -- with patients of diverse backgrounds and conditions. In addition, Dr. Ng has completed advanced studies in sports and physical medicine and is a Corrective Exercise Specialist certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
As a veteran martial arts teacher, researcher, and champion, Dr. Ng has over 25 years of experience in the internal arts. He is a seasoned competitor, coach, and judge, and has won over 100 gold medals and 9 International All-Around Grand Championship titles to date. His success and dedication have earned him a place in the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
Dr. Ng is currently a college adjunct professor and wellness consultant available for private and group sessions, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops.
